On November 20 and 21st, 2004 we got snow at Wolf Mountain Sanctuary....

It started snowing late on the evening of Saturday, November 20.  The weatherman said 20% chance of rain.  When we woke up, there was a foot and a half of snow!  The wolves have never had this much snow EVER!

The wolves ran and played and jumped in the snow.  It was so great, they would run and jump into the air and then slide into the snow with their noses burying them into the deep snow...

Sadly, this is the type of environment the wolves should be living in, instead of the desert.  Our wolves are from all different types of parts of the United States but they are all from cold weather environments.  The desert heat is hard for them to handle but they do.
